The Best Wings in BBQ

Ingredients

  • 2½ lbs chicken wings, split at the joint, tips removed
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
  • 1½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste
  • FOR THE SAUCE

  • ¼ cup Bear & Burton’s Everyday Hot Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Bear & Burton’s W Sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for depth)

Directions

  1. Prep the Wings:
  2. Pat the wings very dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss with baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and a few cracks of black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Bake Until Crispy:
  4. Place wings on a wire rack over a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 425°F for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Make the Sauce:
  6. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in Everyday Hot Sauce, W Sauce, honey, and paprika. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until glossy and combined.
  7. Toss & Serve:
  8. Transfer hot wings to a large bowl and pour the sauce over them. Toss until evenly coated. Serve immediately with ranch, blue cheese, and plenty of napkins.
