Fireshire Spicy Black-Eyed Peas with Bacon

Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups cooked black-eyed peas (or 2 cans, drained)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp Fireshire
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: cornbread for serving
Directions
- Cook chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving grease in the pan.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the bacon grease until softened.
- Add black-eyed peas, chicken broth, and Fireshire. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm with cornbread, topped with crispy bacon bits.
